Public Service Providers

Language and cultural barriers often prevent local authorities, and statutory and voluntary organisations from reaching out to all sections of the public. The result is that many individuals and communities are left feeling isolated, unaware of the services to which they are entitled in areas such as housing, transport, health and social care.

With our support, newcomers to the UK can become more confident about their rights and can access services to enable them to make a valuable and worthwhile contribution to society.

Interskills work with public service providers to:

  • Evidence the language and cultural needs of their communities.
  • Plan/ Assess appropriate action.
  • Develop strategies to implement action.
  • Design and deliver appropriate communication solutions.
  • Develop language and intercultural training.
